Decoders are components that allow the track format to be 'decoded'. Two variants are available: locomotive (or vehicle) decoders, which serve to move and stop the locomotive and to take over certain switching functions and switch decoders that serve to address points, signals, level-crossing barriers, lights and other electrical accessories.

New 2009: Lokdecoder +

Better is the enemy of good. Therefore we now present the successors of the highly renowned Digital plus locomotive decoders. The new decoders can be identified by the “+” symbol behind the decoder name. Standard, Silver and Gold decoders vary in their features, such as ABC, USP and S.U.S.I. as well as the number of their function outputs.

  • All our new Digital plus locomotive decoders “+” are now RailCom-able!
  • For all new decoders, the RailCom function is factory-set. Of course, you can still use these decoders with DCC systems that are not RailCom-able.
  • From now on, the improved software allows for the timecontrolled switching of function outputs, such as is necessary for the con nection of couplings.
  • Brand-new in our product range is the locomotive decoder GOLD 21 + with 21-pin interface.
  • digital plus locomotive decoders support 9999 addresses
  • all recent Digital plus decoders can be operated with 14, 27, 18 or 128 speed steps
  • easy change of addresses with manual control
  • address, starting voltage, starting and breaking delays, and many other features can be set
  • one highlight is the user-defined speed line
  • most features can be programmed in operational mode ('PoM')
  • recent decoders allow function outputs to be assigned to the function keys of operating devices
  • operation on conventional, analogue DC layouts
  • automatic recognition of digital and analogue operation facilitates seamless change between digital and analogue layout sections.
